Since our Cap-Dat ACORD service stores your information on our servers, security is the highest concern. You should think about it. I promise we think about it a lot.

I can not be too specific about several of our security measures, but I will outline our general approach for you.

  • We have firewalls in place in our routers and our servers.
  • We have some additional firmware devices between the open Internet and our servers.
  • We have constant monitoring.
  • We have leading software packages updated in real time to defend against unwanted bugs and viruses.
  • When you are working with your account online we have the entire site wrapped in a Secure Socket Layer - SSL. You will see the little yellow lock icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen indicating this. This 128 bit encryption is the same security used on most sites when you pay online. We think your customer's information deserves this same level of security.
  • The actual forms also have 128 bit encryption on them if you save them locally or send them to anyone.
  • We have triple redundancy on all servers, power supplies, processors, hard drives.
  • We have the system using hot plugable components so if there is a failure, the switch over is automatic in real time.
  • We mirror your data in real time to other secure devices.
  • We back up daily for off site back up storage.

Your trust must be earned and deserved. We have been dealing with upload and financial transactions for over 15 years. Our systems have met the requirements of customers such as AIG, GMAC Insurance and Liberty.
